Raving at 200bpm: Gabber Workshop at Sound School: Monday 10th September @6.30pm

What is gabber? Where tf is Thunderdome? How can you get your kicks more distorted? What nice songs should I ruin with a terrorcore remix? How do you beatmatch at 200BPM?

From Rotterdam to Poland to….Melbourne?? Come to this workshop and learn a lil about the history of hardcore, how to make the heavy shit, how to mix a set, and how to set up a PA and throw your own raves. All skill levels are welcome, no background in music or shuffling required..

BYO laptop – if you can’t, don’t worry – get in touch and we can work out one you can borrow.

This workshop will use Ableton Live to show you how to build a track, download the trial here or hit us up for a full version if you need

Hello Fun Play Group!

HELLO FUN PLAYGROUP 12pm to 2pm

Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month starting this Wednesday 27th June

Open* playgroup from 0 to preschool (kids/babies so far all around 1 year or under but all ages are very very welcome!) Gold coin donation towards the IRL Infoshop.

Whoever comes plays. We have toys! We have radical kids books!

This is a casual parent run playgroup, we are mainly interested in getting our kids together to socialise and play together and meet parents who haven’t found the council or ‘alternative’ steiner type playgroups particularly for them. We are open to different ideas of how to run the playgroup but will start off with meeting up and playing.

Please bring lunch for your child (we’ll work towards providing it!) and any other essentials for them such as nappies and drinks. There is tea, coffee and toasties available cheap at IRL.

Be aware the space does have books at child/baby height that are not for kids to play with.

Kids and parents/carers/family/friends of the child are welcome.

SEE YOU THERE!

*Law enforcement agents, affiliates and sympathisers are not included in this playgroup invitation.
*The purpose of this playgroup is fun times for all. Any alternative/natural/attachment parenting enthusiasts with proverbial soapboxes, please respect this time for play and leave them at home.
